After working with clients for a few years now, it has become clear that in order to do justice to the Mickel Therapy techniques and for you, the client, to gain maximum benefit, it is necessary to complete a minimum of 6 sessions.
For this reason, the Mickel Therapy clinic now offers a minimum 6 week block program (initial consultation followed by 5 appointments) during which time a certain number of key techniques and exercises are delivered.
Appointments are set a week apart, during which time you will be putting into practice the lessons and exercises you have learnt during sessions.
Clients may choose to continue for additional sessions at the end of this 6 week period.
The first session is a 'stand-alone' session, at the end of which you have the opportunity to commit to a minimum of 5 sessions.
Why committing to a program of sessions will improve results
Sessions are available by phone, skype or in person at the clinic. Many clients are located around New Zealand and overseas and results have proven that phone / skype sessions are equally effective as in-clinic visits.
The first appointment is 90 minutes. During this session you will learn:
All follow-up appointments are one hour. However, if for any reason we need to extend the time, for example, if you are travelling from out of town and want to make the most of your long trip, or we need more time during the session, that can be accommodated for an additional fee.

Most people will find that 6-8 sessions is the average number needed before they are symptom-free, although this can be less for some people and more for others.
90 minutes: $175 NZD
5 x 60 minute session: $700 NZD ($140 per session)
7 x 60 minute session: $910 NZD ($130 per session)
9 x 60 minute session: $1080 NZD ($120 per session)
In most cases the Mickel Therapy Clinic will pay for the phone call. However, if the cost of the phone call is prohibitive, the call will need to be made by the client. This will be advised upon booking your first appointmnt.
Block programs must be completed within the stipulated timeframe: For 5 week programs this is within 7 weeks. For 7 week programs this is within 9 weeks. For 9 week programs this is within 11 weeks.
Payment is accepted by online banking, credit card, cash or cheque.
Payment for phone or skype sessions is to be received at least 2 working days before the appointment.
Payment for the 5 week program is to be made on or before the first of the 5 sessions.
Payment for the 7 or 9 week program can be made in two installments as advised at time of booking, with the first installment due on or before the first of the block program sessions.
If you live in New Zealand, payment can be made directly into a New Zealand Westpac bank account. Bank details will be supplied upon making your first appointment.
If you live in Australia, payment can be made directly into an Australian Westpac bank account. Please note there may be a small additional fee to cover bank transfers. Bank details will be supplied upon making your first appointment.
If you live in the UK/ Europe, payment can be made directly into a NatWest bank account. Please note there may be a small additional fee to cover bank transfers.Bank details will be supplied upon making your first appointment.
For payment by credit card, there is a small additional credit card fee which will be advised at time of booking (according to current rates).
Cancellations within 48 hours will incur a cancellation fee. Cancellation fees are advised at time of booking your first appointment.
There are no refunds for incompleted programs.
Since working with many clients over the past few years, it has become apparent that there are certain factors which hugely increase your success in recovery. These are:

And because the techniques work, and if you follow the advice given to you by your therapist, you should see results.
Why? Because going through this program may well stir up resistance to change and one has to have the committment and willingness to move through the discomfort of doing so.
Why? Once you realize that you have taken your whole life to get to where you are now, including creating your illness, it is only reasonable to expect that it will take more than one session to recover your health. Not only do you need new understanding, which is provided during your treatment, but you also need time to practice the exercises you will be given.
In my experience of working with clients, 6 sessions are the minimum number of sessions required to start to get a full understanding, grasp and beginnings of mastering the new information, tools and exercises you will be given during Mickel Therapy.
